Detailing is not a car wash

A wash removes what is sitting on the surface. Detailing removes what has bonded to it — industrial fallout, tree sap, hard water spotting, and the embedded grit that makes paint feel rough long before it looks bad.

Then the paint is corrected rather than covered: the fine swirl marks that show up as a halo under direct sun are machine-polished out, instead of being filled with a glaze that washes off in a month.

Interiors in this climate

Arizona is unusually hard on a cabin. Sustained heat dries leather and vinyl, and dashboards and door cards crack from the top surface down where the sun sits on them.

Cleaning and conditioning is genuinely preventative here rather than cosmetic. It is a great deal cheaper than replacing a cracked dashboard, and it is the single biggest factor in how old a car feels from the driver’s seat.
