Seats, trim, carpets and door panels repaired rather than replaced.

Interior damage tends to get replaced because repairing it is skilled work and few body shops do it. A cigarette burn in a seat, a split leather bolster, a cracked dashboard, a torn door card or a gouge in plastic trim can all normally be repaired in place.
A replacement seat or dashboard is a large bill, often for a part that then does not quite match the age and color of everything around it.
Certain damage turns up here far more than elsewhere, and it is all heat and ultraviolet: cracked dashboard tops, faded and hardened door cards, brittle plastic trim that snaps at a clip rather than flexing, and leather that has dried until the seat bolster splits at the seam.
Seeing a lot of the same damage is useful — color matching sun-faded trim is its own skill, and it is one you only develop by doing it repeatedly.
Interior color matching is harder than paint, not easier. The material has faded unevenly, the texture has to be recreated as well as the color, and grain patterns differ between manufacturers.
Done properly the repair disappears. Done badly it looks like a patch, which is why so many shops simply quote the replacement part instead.
