Scuffs, scrapes, cracks and snapped mounting tabs — plastic-welded and refinished rather than replaced, wherever the panel allows.

A modern bumper cover is thermoplastic. It can be welded. A crack can be v-grooved and welded from behind, reinforced, filled on the face, primed and refinished — and once it is painted there is nothing to see.
Shops quote replacement because ordering a part is quicker than repairing one. It is not usually because the panel could not be saved.
This is the one people assume is fatal. The bumper looks fine but sits proud of the wing, or sags at one corner, because the tabs that clip it to the body have sheared — often in an impact far too small to mark the paint.
Tabs can be rebuilt. Welded back, reinforced, and the cover refitted so the panel gaps line up again. Replacing an undamaged bumper cover because of a broken plastic tab is an expensive way to solve a small problem.
Surface damage that has not gone through to the substrate is straightforward: cut back, fill where needed, prime, refinish and blend. The work is in the color match, not the repair.
If the cover is torn through in several places, badly deformed, or the damage runs into the mounting structure behind it, a repair will not hold and we will say so. Sensors, cameras and parking aids mounted in the bumper also have to sit true afterwards — a cover that is slightly out of shape is not just cosmetic once there is a sensor in it.
Bring it in, or send photographs of the damage and we will put an estimate in writing.
